I've finally broken down and realized that I am never going to be able to do in Paint
Shop Pro what can be done in Photoshop. So, after years of avoiding it like the plague, I
have decided it is high time that I tame that beast. To that end, I went on a hunt for some
of the best tutorials on the net, and have been doing some experimenting. This is a work in
progress shot of a tutorial I am following by Linda Bergkvist.
I know the eye is a bit mishapen, but I decided to leave it like that since the main focus of
this is technique and getting to know Photoshop. This was done completely with my mouse
because me and my wacom still do not get along. It was skipping all of the place when I was
just trying to sketch the eye to get started, so I put it down and did it the old-fashioned way.
I will tone down that pink...just doing some experimentation. I'm about halfway through the
tutorial. I have to use outrageous colors right now until I can figure out why PS is washing
out the colors when I open it in Image Ready to save it.
